The Pittsburgh born native originally signed to play with Hume City Broncos in the Australian Big V League in 2020. Prior to 2020 he had spent 4 years playing in the Australian State leagues most noticeably for Hawthorn Magic who he led to the Big V title in 2018.
He spent 2 years at Jacksonville College prior to 2-years at the University of Missouri - Kansas City (NCAA Division I) averaging 13.1 points, 5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in his senior year (2013-14). Kirksey then played a season in Chile for Club Osomo before heading to Australia.
